Esment includes a native macOS app. Open it and your dashboard is right there — a clean visual interface that’s your command center for everything.
From the dashboard you can browse and search everything your AI has remembered, see what was stored in recent conversations, add or edit memories manually, connect new AI tools with a few clicks, and control how long memories stay active before they archive.
No command line. No configuration files. No technical knowledge required. The dashboard handles it all through a visual interface designed to feel familiar and approachable.
The Esment app runs entirely on your Mac. No account required, no cloud login, no data shared externally — everything stays on your machine.

Project context
Details about active work — what a project is called, who’s involved, what decisions have been made, what’s still open. Your AI picks this up automatically when you ask about related topics.
Decisions and history
Choices you’ve made that future conversations should know. “We decided to use Postgres over MongoDB.” “The client wants weekly summaries, not daily.”

Get started in minutes
Getting started with Esment takes about five minutes. Choose the setup that works for you — a simple app download is enough for most people.
Download & install
The fastest way to get started is the Esment desktop app. Download it from notas.ai/download, open the file, and drag Esment to your Applications folder.
Launch Esment. Your dashboard opens immediately — a native app right on your desktop. Esment runs quietly in the background as a menu bar app. Nothing to manage, nothing to configure.

Esment runs entirely on your machine. There’s no account to create and no internet connection required. Everything stays local and private.
Connect your AI
Open the Esment app. In the sidebar, click Connections, then Add Connection.
Choose your AI tool from the list. For Claude Desktop, Esment generates the connection configuration automatically — you just copy it and paste it into Claude’s settings, then restart Claude.
That’s it. Claude will show Esment in its available tools. Your AI now has access to everything you’ve stored.

Your first memory
With Esment connected, try this with your AI assistant:
“Remember that I prefer Python over JavaScript, I always write type hints, and my main project is called Starfield.”
Your AI stores all three facts in Esment. Open your dashboard — you’ll see them there, already indexed and searchable.
Now open a completely new conversation. Ask your AI:
“What do you know about my preferences?”
It remembers. Every detail, from the first conversation. That’s Esment working.
