Esment Cloud enters public beta

The hosted Esment service — cloud memory for web assistants, plus bidirectional sync with the macOS app — is now live in public beta.

Esment Cloud, the hosted service that brings the same memory engine to web-based assistants, is now in public beta. Any Esment account can connect web assistants — ChatGPT, Perplexity and other remote MCP clients — to a cloud memory tenant, or sync their local store with it in both directions.

What the beta includes

  • Remote MCP endpoint with OAuth 2.1 — assistants connect with the same tools they use locally
  • Bidirectional sync between the macOS app and the cloud tenant, additive and conflict-safe
  • The web dashboard: browse, search, pin and forget memories from any browser
  • Per-plan limits enforced server-side, from the free tier through Enterprise

Local-first stays first

The cloud is an extension, not a replacement. The macOS app and the plugin remain fully local-first: no account, no network, no telemetry required. Cloud sync is opt-in, and what syncs is what you choose to sync.

During the beta, the service is available to all plans. Pricing and plan limits will firm up as the beta closes; the local product stays free.
