Mac & Web
Keyboard shortcuts
Every shortcut in the Mac app and the web dashboard, in one place.

From any app
These two work whichever app is in front, as long as Esment is running in the menu bar. They are fixed and cannot be changed.
- ⌥C Quick Capture. Press it again to close the panel.
- ⌥V Record a voice note.
Quick Capture panel
- ⌘Return saves the note.
- Esc closes the panel.

- ⌘ShiftN opens Quick Capture.
- ⌘R refresh the page.
- ⌘[ and ⌘] go back and forward.
- ⌘, open Settings.
- ⌘⌥S collapse or expand the sidebar.
- ⌘0 bring the Esment window to the front.
- ⌘W close the window. Esment keeps running in the menu bar.

Reminder inside the app
In the menu bar, Help → Keyboard Shortcuts shows a short version of this list. The numbers follow the sidebar as you see it, so Settings is ⌘7 until you switch on Share this Mac, which adds Workspaces and Members before it.
Web dashboard
Anywhere in the dashboard
- ⌘K opens search on a Mac, CtrlK on Windows and Linux. Press it again to close.
- Esc closes a dialog, a side panel or a menu.
In search
- ↑ and ↓ move through the results.
- Enter opens the highlighted result.
- Esc closes search.
Assistant
- Enter sends your message.
- ShiftEnter starts a new line.
- Esc stops a reply while it is being written.
History calendar
On Memories → History, when you are not typing in a field:
- ← and → step back and forward.
- T jumps to today.
- D, W, M and Y switch between day, week, month and year.
See History and The built-in Assistant for more.
